Hawaii Golf Vacations and Oahu Golf Courses

Oahu, Hawaii's most visited island, offers over 30 golf courses, most of which are open to the public. Pro golfers from around the world come to Oahu to compete in The Sony Open, Turtle Bay Championship, SBS Open, and Field's Open. Beautiful surroundings, lots of sunshine and excellent courses and a rich abundance of things to do for the non-golfers in your family – including "world-class shopping" -- combine to create a heavenly Hawaii golf vacation on Oahu.

Coral Creek Golf Course
- The challenging Coral Creek Golf Course at the world-famous Outrigger Resort is listed by Golf Digest Magazine as one of the top 100 courses in the entire United States. Located on the sunny Ewa plains of Oahu, this par 72, 6810-yard golf course was designed by Robin Nelson and offers four different teeing areas for golfers of all skill levels. Coral Creek Golf Course is one of the first courses in the world with the lush emerald colored grass, Seashore Paspalum.

Water comes into play on 13 holes, with six of the lakes fully lined with coral walls and interconnected by a coral creek.  Number 10, a 190-yard par 3, is back dropped by a 30-foot cascading waterfall. This Hawaii golf course rises and falls in elevation so the golfer is faced with a variety of wind conditions and many uphill and downhill holes.

Makaha Resort & Golf Club – Named the island's best golf course by Honolulu Magazine, this world class, this Hawaii golf course is located on the sun drenched Leeward Side, only minutes away from some of Oahu's best snorkeling, diving, whale watching and deep sea fishing excursions. Designed by William F. Bell to accent the beautiful, natural landscape of Makaha Valley, this championship golf course was acclaimed for its beauty as much as its rigor by Golf Digest.

The classic 18-hole, 7,077-yard, par 72 course calls for a variety of shots. With a USGA rating of 73.2, it is popular with professionals and beginners alike. Hawaii's royalty favored Makaha Valley for recreation, and its serene and beautiful surrounding. The peacocks seen and heard throughout this valley are descendents of a gift from King Kalakaua to the owner of the historic Makaha Valley Ranch.

Turtle Bay Resort
-  This North Shore resort offers two championship golf courses that are among the finest in all of Hawai‘i. The Arnold Palmer and George Fazio Courses are select locations for prestigious PGA and LPGA tournaments. Both golf courses offer breathtaking vistas of the ocean.

  • Arnold Palmer Course – This legendary golf course, a distinctive 18-hole championship golf course, hosts the PGA Champion's Tour and the Turtle Bay Championship through 2008. Designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay, the Hawaii golf course offers something for golfers of every skill level. Played from the Palmer (black) tees, the course provides an impressive challenge to the world's best golfers.  The five to six sets of tees on each hole allow for golfers to customize their Hawaii golf experience to meet their skill levels. The front nine holes at the Arnold Palmer golf course, with its sand, water and rolling terrain is reminiscent of Scottish links while the back nine meander through a jungle of ironwood pine and a wetlands bird sanctuary. The signature 17th hole has nine craggy bunkers surrounding the landing area and extending all the way up to the green. The 17th green sits on a plateau only 100 feet from the ocean.
  • The Fazio Course – This Turtle Bay course is the only golf course in Hawai’i designed by the world renowned George Fazio. The golf course provides generous fairways, deep bunkers and immaculately manicured greens. The Fazio Course has hosted the LPGA Tour's Hawaiian Open and was the site of the first Senior Skins Game, which included Arnold Palmer, Chi Chi Rodriguez, Gary Player and Sam Sneed.

Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki – This Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay designed golf course, is the only course of its kind in Hawaii with its 27 dramatic holes. Situated on the Ewa Plain of Oahu, the Hawaii golf course encompasses 270 acres of beautiful with stunning views of the Waianae Mountains. The three interchangeable nines offer a variety of challenges with multiple sets of tees and well-placed bunkers. The most prominent feature is water, which flows everywhere.

Ko Olina Golf Club
– This challenging 18-Hole championship golf course is located on the Leeward Side of Oahu in a premier resort community. Exceptional water features, multi-tiered greens and expansive landing areas are among the offerings. The Ko Olina Golf Club is one of Hawaii's premier golf courses.
