Most of the rain falls for short durations in the late afternoon or early evening, just enough to cool things off; however, storms sometimes linger.

When making your Costa Rica travel plans, remember to include clothing for the various eco regions. The highlands can be quite cold while the Pacific and Caribbean coasts are balmy year-round.

Spanish is the official language of Costa Rica, and most of the guides and tour operators speak both Spanish and English. U.S. dollars, Visa and MasterCard are all widely accepted. ATM's are the easiest way to get cash on your Costa Rica vacation.
